#241: Maze Runner Scene (The Doors)

Instructions:  Listen to the youtube video above and fill in the blanks in the transcript below (or write your answers on a piece of paper). Beginners can use the list of missing words and phrases, but if you're an advanced student, try to fill in the blanks just by listening to the video, without looking at the missing words and phrases.  The answers are given at the end of the lesson.

Main Features:  This short video is probably very difficult for most foreigners, mostly because some of the words are missing, either partly or completely.  Here are three examples:  1) "What are you doing?" -- the word "are" isn't clear.  2) "We're just trying to protect you" -- the word "we're" is mostly silent and the combination of "t" plus "you" sounds like "chu".  3) "I need to know that you're going to follow the rules" -- the word "that" is mostly silent except for a "t" sound and the combination of "t" plus "you" sounds like "chu".  These are just three examples.

Missing Words and Phrases (9):  going to [gonna]; let you [let chu]; meeting [meetin]; need to [need ta]; that you're going to [chure gonna]; trying to [tryin na]; want to [wanna]; we've got to [we gotta]; you [chu].
