#245:  A Wrinkle in Time (Trailer)

Instructions:  Listen to the youtube video above and fill in the blanks below (or write your answers on a piece of paper). Beginners can use the list of missing words and phrases, but advanced students should try to fill in the blanks just by listening to the video (without looking at the missing words and phrases).  The answers are given at the end of the lesson.

Main Features:  The main feature in this video is the word "to", which in this video sounds like either "ta" or "da".  You'll hear the phrase "wants to", "wanted to", and others.

Missing Words and Phrases (6):  At you [at chu]; he [ee]; here to [here da]; Is that [iz zat]; wanted to [wanted ta]; wants to get to her [wants ta get to er].

Close your eyes.  See with mine.
You are a top student, but look ______ now.
You can't keep using your father's disappearance as an excuse to act out [1].
_______ his work?  Well, what's it about?
Her dad... He _________ touch the stars.
Imagine that the ant here ___________________ other hand.
The quickest option is to walk across the string.
But it turns out a straight line is not the shortest distance between two points -- not if you use the fifth dimension.
It's outside of the rules we know of time and space.
So the ant arrives in my hand instantaneously.
So you fold space?
More like we wrinkle it.
Where are we?
We heard a cry out in the universe.
My father's alive!
We believe _____ is and we're _______ help you find him.
We are in search of warriors.
Warriors who serve the good and the light in the universe.
You're kidding.
Do I look like I'm kidding?
A little.
I'm not.  I'm not.
Your father's trapped by an evil energy.
It's too strong for our light.
And the only one who can stop it is you.  Be a warrior.
My love is always there, even if you can't see it.
Do you trust me?
I trust you!
Meg...  Meg...

[1] To act out = To misbehave, especially when unhappy or stressed.  If her father has disappeared, then that would cause her to be unhappy or stressed, so that's why he uses the verb "to act out".

1) at you [at chu]
2) Is that [iz zat]
3) wanted to [wanted ta]
4) wants to get to her [wants ta get to er]
5) he [ee]
6) here to [here da]
