1.) I met a man of deep sorrow,

He called me tenderly

His voice was in pain full of silence

Yet strong as a rock in the sea,

I met a man of deep sorrow,

And in my pain there is peace

2.) I knew the man of deep sorrow,

Master yet meek in a throng

Self-possessed, calm and all merciful, 

He's hated though guiltless of wrong

I knew the man of deep sorrow,

And in my pain I become strong

His spirit can't be destroyed

His love is overflowing

Suffering without alloy

I love the man of deep sorrow

And in my pain there is joy

4.) I wedded the man of deep sorrow,

And I am being espoused eternally

We share a grief that too deep for tears.

Wounded yet happy we are together

I love the man of deep sorrow

And in our pain, liberation comes in

I once fell in a pit

Of filthy water with stinky smell

I was totally submerged

Then you came with an impeccable timing

You drew me away from the fetid pit

Through your helping hands 

You lovingly pulled me

You compassionately cleansed me,

In your crystal-clear and elixir of life water

And delicately placed me in your sturdy shelter

I lay on my bed

I did not get a wink of sleep.

I was tossing and turning all night long

I did not get what was wrong.

Sunrise comes darkness ends

Indescribable feelings show up once again

A mixture of gloom and ecstasy

Unusual emotions come in their way

As lovely flowers dance with glee

The small birds chirp cheerfully

The petals sprout and fall freely

My sensations go on abstrusely
