‘Reutlinger Nachrichten’ says that according to a team of doctors from the university of Lyon in France there may be a connection between certain types of cancer and excessive consuming of alcohol.

‘Bleib gesund’ says that dementia isn’t just caused by disease or old age. Scientists now published studies according to which there are many more reasons. It is caused by mental illnesses like PTED (similar to PTSD only that instead of a life-threatening situation the initiator was an event that made you very bitter), depression or alcoholism. Also if you live a very isolated life, you may get dementia. There are also some physical reasons for dementia like diabetes, overweight, not enough physical activity, too one-dimensional diet, brain damage or high blood pressure or living in an area where the air isn’t too pure.

‘Bleib gesund’ says that heartburns aren’t caused solely by a wrong diet or wrong eating habits. Scientists now say it’s also caused by the wrong – because uncomfortable – sleeping position, alcohol or smoking.

This month’s sample of the German magazine “bleib gesund” says that the medical insurance group AOK alone counted about 6700 insured people who had to be brought to a hospital due to to much alcohol last year.

“Tagesschau” says that this Thursday there was another accident caused by alcohol. Two trams crashed in Cologne in North-Rhine Westphalia in Germany, because one driver was too alcoholized to do his job. Luckily there were no casualties.
