A "word" question

   This word is used to describe a person "short and stout", and initials with letter " T" ,and sounds like ['ta:bi]. I can not speak it. If any friend know it,please, tell me . Thank you.

as in short and fat?

Thanks from me too as I was also lost on this question . Maybe people were too polite to refer to me as tubby.

 (As already stated, the u is pronounced as in tub or in cup)

Similarly, there's "chubby" – what a nice, chubby baby! Chubby is to be fat in a pleasant way. 

Another word with similar spelling  is "tabby", which is usually used when referring to cats.
