Teachers are some of the most important people in our lives. A good teacher can get you excited about a topic you never liked before, or help you develop habits you never forget. At some point in your life, a teacher shaped who you are.

It can be hard to be a good teacher and be liked at the same time. Teachers have to maintain order in their classroom and push their students to work hard. Teachers who can do this and somehow make it fun are likely to be someone’s favorite teacher.

No matter how much you like a teacher though, eventually you finish their class and move on. Sara has a special teacher from years ago who she still thinks about often. Learn education English in this English lesson as Sara tells Mason about her favorite teacher.

Sara:  The other day I went on Facebook and I actually tried to find my favorite teacher from kindergarten.

Mason:  Kindergarten? Your favorite teacher? I don’t believe you remember back that far!

Sara:  Yeah, I mean, she was just such a great teacher. I’d say she inspired my love of learning.

Mason:  I don’t mean this with any disrespect, but how much influence can a kindergarten teacher have on a child? What, you’re like, five, in kindergarten?

Sara:  Yeah but I think really, for me, the biggest thing was that she taught me to read, and I’m just a huge reader, and I’m a writer. So she really just inspired that love of reading in me.

Mason:  Right on. Did you kind of become something of a teacher’s pet?

Sara:  Maybe. I think that may have been the case. You know, at the time, of course, I always wanted her attention because I thought that…it just felt great to learn from her. But I may have been a bit of a teacher’s pet.

Mason:  So did you end up finding her on Facebook?

Sara:  No, I didn’t. There was no luck. She was British, actually. I was in the United States but she was British, so I tried looking up her name and the word “England,” but it didn’t help.

Mason:  Oh, so she was like your Mary Poppins?

Sara:  Yes, basically she was my Mary Poppins. But I’ll have to just let her live on in my memory, because I’m not going to find her on the Internet.

Sara is a writer and she loves to read. Her kindergarten teacher inspired her interests in these subjects.

Even though it’s been many years, Sara often thinks of her favorite teacher and how she shaped her life. She recently tried looking up the teacher on Facebook, but she couldn’t find her. She thinks maybe she had no luck on Facebook because her teacher was British.

Mason compares Sara’s teacher to Mary Poppins, a wonderful British nanny who changed the lives of the children she took care of.

Do you have a favorite teacher? How did he or she change your life?

I had a good teacher… I mean, an excellent teacher! She taught me math, but more than add or divide, she taught me to pursue my objectives. She motivated me to keep studying even when the path were too long.

I was trying to study by myself, because I wanted to pass in a scholarship test. This test was so difficult, sometimes even my teacher didn’t know some answers. But, instead of come up with an excuse, she tried to learn the theories in order to pushe me to learn together.

Ryo, there was a guy who wanted to play sport, they didn’t let him. He wanted so much but they said to him, sorry, you your’re out. No matter how hard he tried, the doors have been closed. The guy didn’t stop, there were other teachers who made out of him a successuf player. Go with what you want, don’t stop, don’t listen the world ( there’s always the other part and as usual it’s opposite) and if your aim is good, it will shine..

Leva, a very good message. I was racking my brain who is my fav. teacher. I love people but really couldn’t find a good teacher with the exception of one teacher back back in my childhood. And your comment just triggered my thought that a person himself is the best answer during his trip on life.  You should know your weak and strong points to work on them. And if you have that basic skill, you can go anywhere for advice. Be it your friends, husband, Bible, or just you. Sometimes, you’re the only one who can get the right answer, make the right choice.

But my favorite English teacher is Ebaby. Thanks a lot!;)

Every teacher of mine gave me something valuable but the one who inspired me to learn English was a male teacher in primary school. I had already decided to become an English teacher at 5th grade after he had started to teach us English lessons. I remember his face. He had a very sweet smile and he would smile at us very sweetly even when we made a lot of noise. His way of teaching was more like playing which is an efficient way to teach English. He would keep us focused on the lesson with funny games… I remember saying this to myself : “I want to become an English teacher and I want to be just like him.”

And now, 14 years later, I am an English teacher. :) I have my own students. Whenever I enter the gate of the school, the face of my favorite teacher comes to my mind, and I feel proud. I want to be the favorite teacher of my students whom they always remember respectfully, gratefully with a sweet smile on their face at every phase of life. Earlier today, one of my 10th grade students approached me at the end of the lesson and said, “I do not know whether you like or not, but I really love you, Mrs. MESS. You are a great teacher. I feel close to you like how I feel close to my family.” I felt truly moved. I guess I am the favorite teacher of some of my students. :)

I am not sure whether English level of my students developed remarkably or not, but observing some remarkable changes in their manners in the light of my advice, counsel and guidance, I feel proud of myself, and those who have left unforgettable marks on my life and surely my students as they are open to receiving feedback from me. :)

i’m not a student any more but i’m still learning from life and life gives us many opportunites to find our ushers, some great minds with beautiful souls to learn and understand things with batter vision. these people coocoon their pupils. but i think as the company of flowers make things fragrant too the company of some great people make their mates great too. every other person we meet with we greet with is a teacher for us somehow because we unknowingly learn things from them. even some bad experiences with others teaches us really good lessons and peerless morals. life is a loose leaf book we can add new pages of advanced learning by removing some old school things. but be carefull experiences are not to erase weather good or bad, these are always fruitfull later. we are very lucky again when we use to open our eye for the first time in this world we find two great teachers in form of our parents as a gift of life from Allah almighty.

all the 1 lakh 24000 holy prophets from adam to our last and beloved prophet hazrat muhammad PBUH are the best teachers in world from Allah almighty to human beings. i love all of them and we muslims are the umma of a best teacher of the world and hereafter muhammad PBUH.

NAIRA,  there are people that come to our life for a purpose and when  their mission is accomplished they  go away as quietly as they came.  At least, this is what I think on this matter.

My favorite teacher was my physics teacher during all the three years in High School. He was really very liked even though he was very strict with the pupils. He wanted all to understand and have good grades. His teaching method and his love of physics inspired me and I have to say his impact on my carreer was so great that I still think of him and his way in acting in the classroom and teaching. Unfortunately three weeks ago I was in vacation in morocco and I realized that he’s died due to a terrible disease.
