Hi, teacher,

I checked the questions on the list for the first time, in wihch I found a question:

I want to know why is "Please find attached the debit note for your payment / settlement"

acceptable gramatically?

In my understanding, it should be"Please find the attached debit note for your payment"

I would appreciate for your help!!

"Please find attached" is a commonly used phrase in business correspondence. This is really the only circumstance in which you'd use that particular construction.

Hi! Thanks for your questions.

1) Yes, this is not a phrase you'd use in conversation. It's only used in correspondence.

2)  Yes, you can say "Please find attached the word file." You might want to be more specific about what is in that file, however. For example, if you're sending a file with your resume and cover letter, you might say, "Please find attached my resume and cover letter."

Thanks!

Amy
