John: So, I was singing karaoke the other night and I found my new favorite karaoke song. It’s Love Shack.
Steph: Rad. That’s an awesome song. Did you sing it with some friends?
John: Yeah, with a girl, ya know, it’s a duet.
Steph: Yeah. Totally. But you didn’t have your backup singers, your buddies come out and stuff and?
John: Like the whole B-52 band?
Steph: Yeah. Exactly.
John: No. It was just me and, uh, a friend of mine. It was really fun.
Steph: Wow. Speaking of which, did you know they were coming here to play?
John: Are they really?
Steph: Yeah. They’re touring again.
John: They’re still around?
Steph: Yeah, they’re more than still around. They’re actually, ya know, regaining some of their popularity.
John: Wow. I didn’t think they were popular since like the 80s or something, or the early 90s.
Steph: Yeah. They kinda, ya know, left the scene for a little while, did their own thing. But now they’re back. Who knows? Maybe they’ll even produce a new CD.
John: That would be exciting.
Steph: Yeah. That would be. I’d totally buy it.
John: Well, let me know if you find out where their concert is. Maybe I’d like to go check it out.
Steph: Will do.
John: Ok.

Discussion
Recently, my friend gave me some LPs that her boyfriend was going to throw away. In the stack, there were 3 B-52’s LPs.
I was so excited that I listened to them for weeks on end. After doing a little research, I found out that they are going to be playing in Oregon this summer!
How exciting! I am really looking forward to it!
