Tanis:  Hi. My name is Tanis Logan and I’m twenty-six years old. I live in Portland, Oregon, and, uh, I’m really excited to meet all of you. If you want to know a little about me, I like, uh, spending time with my family, reading and taking dance classes. I love doing outdoor activities and I love making new friends, so come and say, “Hi.”

Miguel:  Hi. My name is Miguel. I’m twenty-seven years old. Uh, I’m from Portland Oregon. I’m interested in art and especially architecture and, uh, I play basketball a lot. And just get this out of the way, I’m extremely tall, 6’8”, and my name is Miguel because my parents lived in Mexico for several years before I was born.

John:  Hi. My name’s John. I’m from Portland Oregon. I’m twenty-seven years old, and I work at the coolest company on earth, * English, baby!* Glad to meet you all.

Discussion

John, Miguel and I each have a different style when introducing ourselves. However, we all stick to a similar pattern with our introductions.
1. Say our name
2. Say our age. (You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to!)
3. Talk about some of our interests
If you have to introduce yourself to a group of people, these three steps will help you!
Let us know about any introduction stories you may have on the Life Goes On message board! Also, if you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them there!
Have a great week friends!
Tanis
