Everybody loves to shop. Well, almost everybody. There are some people out there who don’t feel the need to buy new things. If you’re one of those people, you can stop reading here. If you’re one of the people who’s addicted to shopping, keep reading to learn some secrets for finding great deals.
One of the best ways to find the things you want at budget prices is to search the classified ads. Every newspaper has them, and there are some great classifieds online. Read on to learn more!

Dialog

1. Study - Read the dialog again to see how the vocab words are used.

No matter what you’re looking for, classifieds are a good place to look. Online classifieds are especially convenient, because you can search through many of them right from your desk. Here’s a list of some of the sites you should check out:
Craig’s List www.craigslist.org
Craig’s List is a great place to shop, because it’s free for people to post ads. Millions of people in 18 different cities put the stuff they want to sell in categories like bikes/motorcycles, cars/trucks, computer/tech stuff, furniture, and tickets.
Yahoo! Classifieds classifieds.yahoo.com
As you probably know already, Yahoo! is one of the biggest sites on the web. What you might not know is that you can find almost anything you want in the Yahoo! Classifieds.
Half.com www.half.com
Half.com isn’t really a classified ad site, but it’s similar. You can find everything from textbooks to CDs to computer software to jewelry to kitchen supplies at extremely low prices.
There are many other shopping sites, but these are three of the best. If you can’t find what you need at one of these sites, it probably doesn’t exist!

Discussion

Since I started using the web several years ago, I haven’t spent much time at the mall or at other shopping centers. Unless I’m buying clothes, I usually shop online. It’s much more convenient to order things from home and have them delivered to me, than it is to deal with the traffic and the parking and the crowds that pack the stores.
I recently bought a sweet digital camera online. It was really a great way to buy because I could easily compare several cameras at once and choose the one that was best for me.
Happy shopping!
John
