The Recollection

    In the last month of August, it was a solemn and very remarkable day for me. It was our annual recollection. I was in a mixed-emotion because I was addled if I would like to attend the said event in the Medicine Auditorium because I have an another event to attend and that is the UNESCO's Junior Ambassadors Workshop. I am currently part of this organization and I want to seize and grab that opportunity. Well, I decided to attent the recollection because it was just once in a lifetime so grab I grabbed it. The speaker of the said event was a Domincan priest. He was so funny and very approachable person. Every student in the Campus Ministry likes him for his kndeness. I got intested with the topics that he started. He said that God is like one of those Adverstisement. He compared God as one of the telecommunications as "Simply Amazing" and "Connecting People". I definitely agree what he said because  God is truly amazing. He created this world with marvelous creations and he made us through his image and likeness. He really connects himself to us through our prayers. through this we became close with Him. The priest once told us that God exists if we have only examinations. I absolutely agree with that. We only have time for Himif we encounter problems. The priest told us exaggerately that he wishes that everyday should have exams because that will only the key to have time with God. In my life, sometimes I only communicate with God, if there are some favors or miracles that I would likely to happen. Yet if I acheived those opportunities I even forgot to thank Him. At this moment of time, I practice the value of Love. I should learn to thank God for all the blessings that come my way. I know I am not perfect and holy person but through this I learn to communicate with Him even if I do not have problems to encounter. I learn to make sign of the cross if I am going to school and even activities to be done. I learn to bring rosary as my habit since when I was a high school student. With all these this event was so memorable. I was able to confess my sins after the said event because that was the best time to show that I am sorry for all those worst things that I have done to the least of my brothers and sisters. After this event I offer my sevice to God by being the commentator of the mass. The Thomasian Volunteers showed us and interpreted us the song and dance number of one of the religious canticles. Indeed, it was a great time and my stress and worries are out of my way.
