Hey everyone :)
Today, well... ok, technically yeasterday... ok, on the 12th of June is The Independance day here in Russia, and that is an official holiday... but that is all that I can say about it, because there isn't any great celebration... But anyway, who wouldn't like one more holiday in a year :)
And as this holiday is mostly somewhere during the working week, it's hard to celebrate it like many people'd like to, 'cause next day you still are to go back to work, and yeap, quite strange holiday that almost nobody celebrate... But I wanted to tell you about a bit another thing :)
it's 2.18 am here where i am now, and we came home about only half an hour ago...As it it the working day tomorrow, there were almost nobody in the streets and it was so great just to walk...
Our town is not very big, but it's quite beautiful, it's very green and there are a lot of old streets with old beatiful lanterns along the street and interesting old bildings surrounded by willow trees and flowers... And it really was so... magical to wander around almost empty streets, like you are in some other reality, where everybody is gone somewhere eventually, but the town is alive, and you feel it, you feel that it's so full of life, and some inner secret power, and that makes you fell so... vibrant... Like... it sleeps, but it's only a little pause befor another noisy, running and bustling day, and everithing around is just frozen in this expectancy... And in the same time, everything is so clear... the air is so fresh and cool and... really full of some untouchable, that is so difficult to explain, but so easy to feel... Like the town vitalizes itself... and its past and present and future all here in this moment... and you somehow got into its hidden life...

Hello everyone :)
You know, few days ago I went to another city and passed my first Cambridge exam (wow!!! my God, I finally did it!!!) and I went with some girls from my Language school, they are actually secondary school students, and this fact itself made me feel quite... old... but anyway... We went by train, and we had just one-night trip, we talked about almost everithing actually... and by the time we arrived I'd been completely shoked... Just imagine the conversation:
- So... do like school? (me starting some lightl conversation when the train's just started)
-I don't like it, it's boring and easy, I've got almost all As at almost all the subjects (common version of the answer)
-Aw... And what do you do in your free time? (already a bit embarrassed)
-Well, I go to dance class/volleyball/basketball/tennis/whatever else, and to music school, and art school, also I study English and French/Geramn/Chinese/ other languages that you know, also I take part in our local charity events... and so on and so forth... And that was the common answer!!!
That made me feel... strange... really... I always thought of myself as quite active person in life, but they made me feel like i'm just waisting my time! like I'm not using even half of it in, you know, some useful way... And it really sounded like they have 25... 30 hours a day! I just literelly can't get how is it possible to do so many things at once and be good at all of them!?
When I got home I made a little "research" among my students, and just guess what were their answers! When I was 14-15, i actually spent most of my free time with my friends, just hanging out or something, yes, I was a good student, but obviously not that good, and... I was different? really different... and all my friends were... I even sturted to think about all that indigo-children stuff...
I know that life is changing and people are changing, but... What kind of person were you when you were a teenager? Is it average now? Is it a kind of new generation, or...? Or do we need just to take them as an example of how to treat the time?
PS: sorry if it was a little bit higgledy-piggledy, i'm still deep in thougths about all that stuff :) they shoked me, in a good way though :) i admire them...
