Martin Luther King  was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929. He was born during a time when black people did not have the rights which they have today. He was a Baptist minister from Alabama and he became the leader of a large protest movement.

He worked at Boston University and there he met Coretta Scott who became his wife. They had four children, two boys and two girls.

Martin Luther King was involved in a particular happened: Rosa Parks, a black worker, refused to give up her sit on a bus and she was arrested, because the sit was reserved for white people. Martin Luther King protested against the bus company and the black workers stopped going on the buses. This boycott went on until the “segregation” ended.
