How easy it is here to be no longer at ease among people clutching their shadows! The land reels from the repeated blows of what we did and did not do. We wrestled with the devil we snubbed temptations oh how we fasted for forty day and forty nights while praying for the dawn- When you come to see us you will be haunted by the incantations around our bonfire Feathers shake our glory in the noon day heat, and spears and assegais nod their assent to the conquests that are sung. How easy it is here among our own people to clutch and hug the rags of yesterday and sing and dance for the dawn.
