My Very Cute ESL Student

One of my youngest ESL students is an 8-year-old little Korean girl named Lina. Her voice is so cute that despite her being a beginner in English, I always look forward to teaching her. Empty Street

Today is Maundy Thursday, the day before Jesus Christ was crucified in the belief of the Christians. With my country being predominantly Catholic, today is a non-working holiday. I, however, am employed by Koreans and therefore I get days off on Korean holidays, not Phiippine holidays. Yes, I am at work today and it's interesting how the usually busy business district is deserted. Peace and quiet in the big city--it's a lovely sight.

So hot

The heat in the Philippines is almost unbearable. Staying under the sun is like standing in front of an oven, minus the luscious smell of baked goodies. It is almost impossible to flag a cab for they are all occupied---everyone wants to take an airconditioned taxi because it's incredibly hot.

Philippine summer is going to last until the first part of June. I do hope by that time I won't have had a heat stroke.

So, another blog

What for? Maybe so I can spread the word about my real blog, Kat's World 3.

And maybe for me to shout out the things I wouldn't want certain people to read about in my real blog.

Like, I really hate the girl sitting behind me here in the office.

Or, I have this massive, school-girl crush on a certain blogger who will be celebrating his blog's first anniversary.

Or, I have illegally downloaded an audio conversion software in my office computer so I change my favorite recorded classes to mp3 format and take them home. And I have to finish all of that before the IT guy comes on Thursday and discovers my latest rule-breaking.
