The Matrx trilogy is one of the best movie serie I have watched. But I'm sure it is so complex that it's worth watching again and again. Not just the action scenes but those philosophical/social themes, which appeared in movie, make your mind think about them.
One of these is the "cause and effect" by the Merovingian (or The Frenchman). He tells that everyting occurs due to cause and effect, there is no such thing as choice.
At firt when I listened his monologe I was sure he is wrong. In real life we choose something because we have the will to do it. But this is really our will?
Let me explain with an example. I want to be a teacher to teach mathematics and IT. Is it my choice or just an effect of fact that my mother is a teacher and I like who she does her job ad I'd like to be like her (this is the cause)?
I'm waiting for your opinion. This example is very simple and not sure good explaining and does not spread out all part of this theme but I hope it's understandable.
More entries: Red vs Blue (Halo web series), The Sunset Limited, Sharknado 2, The Matrix: Reloaded (Cause and effect) (2), The Shawshank Redemption (2)
