假钞VSfake note

近日有很多人不慎收到了“HD90”等编号的假钞，网上纷纷流传一批仿真度极高的百元假钞已流入全国各省市，并称验钞机也无法鉴别真伪。央行有关负责人表示，验钞机无法鉴别真伪这种情况是不确切的，但春节期间现金交易量非常大，他提醒人们要特别小心假钞。

With the festive season approaching, the central bank Thursday warned the public to be on the lookout for high quality counterfeit 100-yuan banknotes. Though 100-yuan ($14) fake notes are not too hard to make out, people should be careful as cash transactions during Spring Festival are high, it said.

随着春节假期的临近，央行于上周四提醒公众警惕高仿真100元假钞。央行表示，尽管这些100元假钞并不难识别，但由于春节期间现金交易量大，人们应多加小心。

上面报道中提到的 fake note 就是指“假钞”。Fake 在这里表示“伪造的，冒充的”，例如 fake watch 就是指“冒牌手表”。此外，fake 还可以做动词和名词，fake up a report 就是指“捏造一份报告”，而 to perform a fake 则是“做假动作”。
