Advanced grammar skill – “Use of Would in the past”

Hello there, how are you all? I hope you are doing well in learning English. Today I'm going to show you the use of would in the past.

We use ‘would’ to express past habits that happened over a period of time. Normally, we use ‘used to’ to express the past habits. By using ‘would’ it give us variety because if we only use ‘used to’ again and again then it could seem boring.

For example:

I used to wake up at 7am in my school days. Then I would go to a coffee shop before I went to school. I used to take lunch at 1pm. After school I would go to the library and after library I would go home. I used to visit my sister twice a week.

Remember: If the past isn’t physical action then we have to use ‘used to’ and we cannot use ‘would’.

For example:

I used to live in China. (Location)

I used to have a white rabbit. (Ownership)

I used to be a doctor. (Career)

“Allah has no partner, no son”

Allah is the one and only, He has no partner, no son. He knows everything past, present & future. He is the almighty who created this universe. He is the only one worthy to be worshipped. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. There is nothing like Him. He is unique, omnipotent. He has no fatigue or any lacking like Human.

And say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, Who has not begotten a son (nor an offspring), and Who has no partner in (His) Dominion, nor He is low to have a Walî (helper, protector or supporter). And magnify Him with all the magnificence, [Allâhu-Akbar (Allâh is the Most Great)]." (Quran 17: 111)

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allâh, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allâh. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims." (Quran 3: 64)

Allah created Adam without Father and Mother so it was so easy for Him to create Isa(Jesus) only from Mother. If He wishes to do something then He just Say, ‘BE’ and it is.

It befits not (the Majesty of) Allâh that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allâh, by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allâh]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, "Be!" and it is. (Quran 19: 35)

Allah is ONE, has no partner or son.

O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allâh aught but the truth. The Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allâh and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in Allâh and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allâh is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allâh is AllSufficient as a Disposer of affairs. (Quran 4: 171)

Isa(Jesus) was only a prophet of Allah not son.

Surely, in disbelief are they who say that Allâh is the Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary). Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Who then has the least power against Allâh, if He were to destroy the Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), his mother, and all those who are on the earth together?" And to Allâh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them. He creates what He wills. And Allâh is Able to do all things. ( Quran 5: 17)

The Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddiqah [i.e. she believed in the words of Allâh and His Books (see Verse 66:12)]. They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while Allâh does not eat). Look how We make the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth). (Quran 5: 75)

O Mankind! Worship your Lord(Allah)

Allah is one and unique. He has no partner, no children, no son. He is the One and Only. The reason why He created us is to worship him alone without any partner.
1. Say: "He is Allâh, (the) One.
2. (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
3. "He begets not, nor was He begotten;
4. "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."
(capter: 112, Verse: 1-4)

Oneness of Allah has been classified into three aspects. These are:
1. Oneness of the lordship of Allah: To believe that there is only one Lord for the entire universe, Who is its creator, organizer, planner, sustainer and the giver of security, etc. and that is Allah.

2. Oneness of the Worship of Allah: To believe that none has the right to be worshiped (i.e. praying, invoking, asking for help from the unseen, swearing, offering sacrifice, giving charity, fasting, pilgrimage, etc.) but Allah)

3. Oneness of the Names and the Qualities of Allah: To believe that - We must not name or qualify Allah except what He or His messenger has named or qualified Him with;
- None can be named or qualified with the names or qualifications of Allah;
- We must believe in all qualities of Allah, which he has stated in His book (the Quran) or mentioned through His messenger (Muhammad, peace be upon him) without changing their meaning or ignoring them completely or twisting the meanings or likening them (giving resemblance) to any of the created things.

The new AMERICAN Quran: a dangerous trick. A new Quran is being distributed in Kuwait, titled "The True Furqan". It is being described as the ayats of the Shaytan and Al-Furqan
weekly magazine has found out that the two American printing companies;'Omega 2001' and
'Wine Press' are involved in the publishing of 'The True Furqan', a book which has also been titled 'The 21st Century Quran'!

It is over 366 pages and is in both the Arabic and English languages...it is being distributed to our children in Kuwait in the private English schools!
The book contains 77 Surats, which include Al-Fatiha, Al-Jana and Al-Injil.

Instead of Bismillah, each Surat begins with a longer version of this incorporating the christian belief of the three spirits. And this so called Quran opposes many Islamic beliefs. in one of its ayats it describes having more than one wife as fornication, divorce being non-permissible and it uses a new system for the sharing out of the will, opposing the current one. It states that Jihad is HARAAM. This book even goes as far as attacking Allah, Subhanahu wa Tahala! All this is poisoning our children at approx.$3.

Similarities between Christian and Islam

There are lots of similarities between Christian and Islam however many of us don't know about it. Sometimes people feel amazed when they become know that.

We Muslims are also from Adam and Eve as Christian and Ibrahim was also our prophet as Christian. Jesus (Esa) was also our prophet and we always respect him as one of God's prophets. Muslims also believe in afterlife as christian and The Judgment day as well. The angel 'Gabriel'( Gibrail) was God's messenger, in both Christian and Islam.

We believe Jesus as one of God's prophets not God's child. Where God can made Adam and Eve without Father and Mother then was it to hard for him to made Jesus without Father? God can do everything, we believe; he is the One, we believe.

There are also many similarities between two holy books 'The Bible' and 'The Quran'.

Mohamed (s) was the last prophet from God, and his duty was same as Jesus, to tell people to worship towards One God. All of the prophets were delivering same speech like 'There is Only One GOD' and He is the one'.

So I welcome you all read 'The Holy Book Quran', you'll find the true way of life, just read it with explain.

Tomorrow is another day!!!

We are living today and we think that today is that's it but remember tomorrow is another day. That day wouldn't be our day.

Man is mortal. No man stays on earth forever. Maybe today he/she has the power but after some days that power would be vanished.

Sometimes people think that we have power we can do anything but its a very wrong idea. When you are dead then you wouldn't do anything, then you are become helpless. Your all power will remain on earth.

So I wanna tell that, please be gentle with other people, other nations. Don't criticize powerless people. May God help us!!!

I would like to improve my English writing skills but whenever I am going to write something then I find that I am weak in English writing. My writings aren't match with my standard, its so irritating to me. My teacher said, Neo you must have to improve your writing skills otherwise you might be getting less mark in exam. Then I said, Sir, I am trying but you know its a foreign language to me so its difficult. I learn my mother tongue from my early childhood.

Sometimes I feel so wronged because of my writing skills. One of my classmates, named Ronald, English isn't also his mother tongue but he writes quite well. I asked him, how could you improve your writing skills? Then he told, take it easy man, make more practice, read some more books, write something in English everyday and trust me you will success within a month. I think I will but still I feel uneasy whenever I am going to write something. I hope I will improve soon!

Friend

Hi, It's me Neo.

I think human being all are friends. I like to make friendship with other people. A true friend is much better than thousand relatives. I think true friendship mainly depends on trust. If there is no trust between friendship then it wouldn't be friendship anymore.

Different countries , different people, different cultures and so on. Different people think a simple matter in different ways. Every human being is equal.There is no difference between human to human. I think main difference is in our mind.

Male and Female aren't competitor, they are helper to each other. If we want a peaceful earth then we have to help each other whether she/he could be black or white, poor or rich. No difference. Human being are all equal.
