As a college student, have you ever though of getting married? If you want, go ahead! Here comes the right time. China's education authority has given the green light.
"The new policy marks the birth of a more humane and personalized school management system," said Ma Guanghai, a sociology professor at Shandong University.
According to “China Daily”, more than 70 universities on the Chinese mainland have waved the marriage ban since 2003. Getting married is a right and freedom for adults laid down in The Marriage Law and Marriage Registration Regulation.
University students are mature and sophisticated enough to make choices and decisions. They should have the right to marry and have children as long as they are of age according to relevant laws on marriage and family planning.
“Getting married is not a big deal. We love each other. Marrying him was my happiest choice,” Wang Yang said, a third-year student at Tianjin Normal University. She was reportedly the first college student who tied the knot in the city.
Some people worry that college students don’t have enough money and time to support their family life. That worry is reasonable. Actually, it will cost them lots of time to balance the schoolwork and family life. However, that is good for the students.
After graduation , all students have to balance work and family life. They can learn that from an early college marriage. In addition, student couples can spend more time to help each other with study.
“If I were still a college student, I would marry my lover with no doubt,” said Zhou Guangchen. He works in Jiangsu Province after graduation.
If you want marriage on campus, please don’t waste time. You have the right time and good reasons now.
