when I first used this activity in my class I wouldn't have thought of the variety of the usages.It's called "who am I" .Thanks to my CELTA trainers for giving me the idea.The rules are :

 Ask students to write a word on a piece of paper.They should hide the words. Then ask them to stick the papers on their friend's back.each person to the one on his/her right hand side. then they go around the class and ask eachother who they are. they can describe in any way but not mentioning the word.

You can lead them to use the target language. I had this activity for the following task of teaching passive for present statements. They easily produced the target language & I was pleased , my aim was achieved:)

This is interesting, the main objective is to get the students into thinking and using the language.  Thanks for sharing this!
