One of the unique differences of the people in different places in the world with each oher is their languages, and if two individuals find each other's speech incomprehensible, they are normally supposed to speak different languages. Linguists estimate that there are more than 6,000 languages all over the world. The main reason that there is not an exact number of the languages in the world is the fact that some dialects are in the process of diverging and it is not certain if they have become seperate languages. Among them only 200 languages have a million or above native speakers. In this regard, Mandarin(Chinese) has 935,000,000 native speakers, coming in at a distant second is Spanish with 387,000,000, and ultimately English is the third one which is in the possession of 365,000,000 native speakers. In terms of being spoken by various countries, English is the first language, it is the official language of 52 countries. On top of that, about 1/4 people understand Englist to some degree.
