A fellow turnip lived near fence,
Worth it was more than ten shabby pence.
The turnip ripened and seemed delicious,
It could be turned into various dishes.
When cunning Grandpa was passing by,
He fancied quickly a turnip pie.
He rolled the sleeves and tried to pull it.
Still he was not able to make it duly.
Grandpa thought and called for Granny,
They tried to pull it but all in vain.
Their granddaughter joined them, but was fragile.
Granny was in tears, Grandpa was wild.
Three of them had tackled the turnip problem
Until brave Doggie and Cat came to help them.
They pulled the turnip, pulled it and later…
Wise mouse arrived with excavator!!!
It was a brilliant solution, we can’t but agree.
So came to life their turnip-pie-dream.
It was a happy end, indeed…
Still was it such a heinous deed!
The turnip was neighbor’s, it was a crime!!
If it’d be a simple theft, they’d have been imposed a fine.
But it was aggravated, as it was a group misdeed!
And they were sentenced as social misfits…
