English is beautiful. But under the pressure of English education in my country, Learning English has become unpleasent experience for me.

I begain to learn English from junior school, till the second year in college. English class is usually boring and learning English is usually like completing a task instead of obeying one's own interest. So there's little passion for me to learn English. Sometimes I even think I'm wasting my time when I recite English words. So I rarely got a high score in English tests.

But English is really important for communication. And what's more, it is a beautiful language, as beautiful as Chinese. And as there is no special English lessons for me now, I think I can manage studying English as I will. This website is exciting, I hope I can make good use of it, and learn someting from friends here. Laughing

Hi Lynne King, my name is José Luis, and I'm from México. I live in Guanajuato, four hours far from the capital, Mexico city. I really understand your experience. When I was 17 (I'm 36 now) I had problems with English and Math in High School, and I had to quit and my father told me: you have two options, you can work or you can study English. Of course, at that age I decided to study English. I finished all the course and then I went back to High School to finish my studies.

Many years later, I had no a job and a friend of mine told me: you speak English, why don't you work as an English teacher? I just laughed, but I had no option. After looking for several weeks for a job, I finally got one, and that was the beginning. I just finished a degree in languages (English and French), and I worked as an English and Math teacher in an elementary school for several years. So, such is life. Englis is great, and it can save ur life.
