Most of us, borned in 1980s in China, have witnessed a lot changes of China. Most changes were or are positive, but changes of higher education, it is so bad. I have been in home for more than 4 monthes, loneness and insomnia are my best friend. They always accompany me. Why? What I have learned were too academic, on other words, it was useless in companies because no companies want to employ me to publish papers for them. So, I had nothing to do intead of staying home.
Why this essay's title is "Most of us"? Because most of us borned in 1980s have so many same worries and stories. We had experienced the rigescent primary education in elementary school. Teachers did not teach how to learn but ordered us to learn. Boring! Writing the same things more than 10 times, read an article 5 times and working out one questions 10 times. No creation! Just repeated the same things. That was the order, we must obeyed without questions. Most of us had a sweety dream which was going to the university during childhood. In the university which was heaven in our dream meaned no worries and free all day. But when we grew up and went to the university, disappointment appeared in our hearts. Chinese universities are so bad, many students couldn't learn anything useful. Most of the couses are out of date and most teachers don't know how to teach. They only know how to read, reading the teaching materials in the classes. Postgraduates are become the slaves of their supervisors or porisoners in the universities. Most of the papers plagiarized from others'. No hope, no future! I don't know which bitch enacted "Expanding Admission Scale of Institutions". This policy brought no good but harm to Chinese higher education.
So, I decide to try going aboard to get a PhD. I do not want to study in China. It is useless and cheesy!
