CENCI
In Italy, in every region, there is a special cake for every special occasion, especially for the religious occasion. This period of the year is called CARNEVALE, carnival, it's between Christmas and Easter.
The Tuscany cakes for carnival are called CENCI, is the italian-tuscan name for pieces of cloth used to clean house, the name is beacouse they are shaped like them. Cenci are fried pieces of pasta cake maded with flour, sugar, butter, eggs and a glass of VINSANTO (liquourus and sweet wine from Tuscany).
