Actually, there is a story where the ISLAND comes from :) – it’s a monument to the soldiers killed in the Afghanistan war. There are statues of widows, mothers and sisters, crying… and a fountain of crying angel.
There is also a funny custom for the newlyweds – if they want their first baby to be male, they should come to this poor crying angel and bride should touch angel’s, you know… penist. If girl – then just tip of the wing. (But it seems to me, that city government forbid this stuff recently – the statue is fragile and there is a possibility that after all this “customs” angel will end up without penis at all)
