I visited old Warsaw last summer … it’s hard to imagine that the plaza there was all completely destroyed 70 years ago. Incredible restoration…
Also, very strange for a Canadian tourist: lots of churches, and all churches everywhere always filled with people.
My favorite church (from an architectural point of view – yes, I like architecture a lot) was in Krakow though, not Warsaw… and that garden built on top of of Warsaw University Library is also quite impressive – well done!

At 4:40 am first bombs fell on Wieluń city. A consequence was 75% of the city were ruined and 1200 civilians lost their lives.
