Freelance Kashgar Guide
My friend and I traveled to Kashgar recently and had the delightful chance to meet Elvis Gophor, a local tour guide. We hired Elvis for half a day, but ended up spending the entire day into the evening walking the streets of Kashgar with Elvis, buying carpets in the old bazaar, exploring the old city, and finally the night market. I can’t recommend Elvis enough. His excellent English, and in depth knowledge of Kashgar and the area beyond is a valuable resource that should not be missed. If you want a good experience with a knowledgeable guide who will listen as well as guide…Elvis is your man!
