Virginia Avenue

pengyou

Dear all,

In a song called "Virginia Avenue", there is a phrase as

"I'll just get on back into my short,
make it back to the fort"

What is the exact meanning of it?

Thanks.

Hi Pengyou, how are you.  Hope you're enjoying your time and friend too.

The meaning of that lines is:

I will just return back  to my home country, this will let me feel safe and secured.

Hope you ask any question, if you like.

Hi, Benazouz,

Good translation. But why does "short" imply "home contry" and does "fort" mean "safe"?

Kind regards,

Pengyou
