Yes you are but you have to write "al fresco".

Letterely speaking it means something like "in the fresh"

"Tomar el fresco" = "Estar al fresco" = "Coger el fresco" Here, in Spain, it is a very common practice in the small villages during the hottest days of the summer. Basically, after the dinner, people go out the house and sit down in their sidewalks enjoying the lower temperatures of the day before going to bed.
