If someone ask you out for lunch, can i say “I ‘ll pass this time” to turn him/her down? Is it grammatically correct to say “I m pass”?

I’ll pass this time, or I’m gonna pass this time, are OK, but not very polite ways of turning someone down. I suppose if it’s a very good friend it would be OK.

I’m not sure that it will be more polite to say in this way like “I’m sorry, but the time is filled.”
