Hi guys:) I have a question:)

In America series movie "Lost" on season 1, John locke say to Sayid " his leg was Charle * " when they on the way to check that wreckage plane in forest after Boone died.

But I forget how to say it, the "Charle something" is same means to cramp, I think it is a slang for cramp.

 could you guys tell me how to say it:) thanks a lot
