What is " two hours worth of time" ?

jasonchaoth

Taiwan

Today, I saw " You have only two hours worth of time on that battery" in a technical document. I was just wondering why "worth of time" was used in the sentense ? Can I just say " You have only two hours on that battery" ? And what does "worth of time" mean ?

I much appreciate your help if you can help me with the question.

 Thank you

Jason
