Halloween is this Wednesday, so I’ve been thinking about scary songs to tell you about. Unfortunately, I can’t think of many.
Halloween is more about scary sounds than songs. However, there is one song that is perfect for Halloween.
Read on to find out what it is.

Thriller, by Michael Jackson, is my favorite Halloween song. The lyrics are scary, the music is fun and as always, Michael sings like nobody else can.
Thriller starts with these ominous words:
It’s close to midnight
and something evil’s lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight
you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream
but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze
as horror looks you right between the eyes,
You’re paralyzed

Thriller obviously isn’t an ordinary pop song. They lyrics are about monsters, ghouls and aliens – not the normal things you hear on the radio every day. It actually amazes me that a song so scary became so popular.
Have you heard Thriller? What do you think? Do you have a favorite Halloween song? Come to the Music Mix message board and let us know!
Happy Halloween!
