Rad is an adjective similar to "cool" that's used to describe anything.Use it like this:

"Wow! That was rad!", "The weather today is rad.", "Your new shoes are rad!"

I like the use of "rad" to mean alternative!  "Rad" is short for "radical" (in this usage it is an adjective meaning "extreme" or "far-out") which is also a wicked word to use instead of "cool."

has anyone seen the movie "Rad?"  i think the photo for this lesson is the movie poster.  it's about bmx bikes, right?  riding bmx bikes is rad.  i think i can still do a table top…

I love "rad."  Seemed like people stopped using it for a few years, but now it's coming back!
