If you are deserved to have it, you will receive it.

If you are not supposed to get it, you will not.

Necessary efforts should be made to find out why and how mistake like this happened , but without making yourself under stress because of these efforts. This way of thinking is applicable not only for plastic soup bowls but also for things like misplaced diamonds????
