i totally agree with u, we couldn't say about any thing that it's true without testing it.that's why islam urges us to think ,contemplate and use our minds. There is lot more to "truth" than what human mind can grasp. When I say it is a perseption, I mean non meterial one, one which cannot be tested. Durin Stone ages, Lightning were considered "Act of an Angry God" . Back then this was their Absolute truth. Things unexplained can be come "truth". if u try to read the holy quran,u will find it full of verses that call for thinking in everything, contemplating, increasing our our knowledge. Do you think other holy books don't say the same ? so, what makes islam spread is that people started to search for the truth, Not necessary. There are many cases where "truth" was forced down their throat. Truth is relative. they started to ask themselves: who created this sky, sea, sun… "creation" is just a metrialistic think of man, What if every thing is an illusion ? When you have a dream, you think that dream world is true, till you wake up from the sleep. What if you are in a dream ? and Sun sky etc etc is just part of your dream world ? of course it couldn't be fire, or cow or whatever because theses things themselves are creatures. For your Information > Zoroastrians don't believe Fire is God, Hinduism doesn;t say Cow is God . THere is much more to Hinduism , than just Cows or Snakes. they started to read about the teachings of ISLAM, THEY FOUND IT CALL FOR BEING TOLERANT, RESPECTABLE, MERCIFUL, GENEROUS, AND TO respect people's religion and thoughts, and to take care of our parents and siblings, and to help the poor and sick people, and to respect women and take care of them, and to build earth and not to pollute it. u may find many muslims who don't do these things but that is because of the people themselves not because of islam. so, And you belive other religions don't say the same ? i am sooooooooooo sure that the things i see are true how are you so sure?
