why do we have to envy someone?

we r human being, but sometimes we will envy someone, when the fact is we know that she or he IS superior than us..

why do we have to have this feeling dissatisfaction?

Because we're not quite confident about ourself. When we admire some people in a right way then it can be a good thing and also a stimulus to enhance ourself, but the envy is not a good feeling.

Its a natural thing to envy others, we are just human.But we should be envious to make us constructive rather than a distractive.Some people have that crab mentality attitude they keep on pulling down others in order not to succeed.Why there are people like that?

maybe, it comes out because of fame and  fortune.  if  the one who is supervior than us , we may feel lost sth that we do not allow, then it turns out that we envy, while someone is much more powerful but we admire him or her deeply because the hero had become a history and has no threats to us, in this situation, we call it admire not envy. so, in Chinese culture, our Kongzi tells us, learn to accpet our weakness, if there is a person who is stronger than us as well as having ethics, then we should admire him or her and make him or her as a model we should learn from. hope it can help u
