what is the difference between weird and strange. I mean, is there any specific type of situation where we should use weird?

Hi! Good question. The two words are often used interchangeably. However, sometimes we use "strange" to mean unknown (as in a "stranger"). For example, you could say, "I saw a strange cat in the yard today," meaning you saw a cat you'd never seen before and didn't know in the yard.

Yes, a "weird" cat might be doing something unusual, or be very different in some way.
