Good question! It’s certainly difficult to speak a new language fluently. The main thing that will help is practice: speaking as often as you can, reading and writing in English, and maybe finding a conversation group with whom you can practice speaking and understanding? Overall, though it can be intimidating, try not to be afraid to speak up and practice with people you meet. Most English speakers will be glad that you’re making the effort, and will be happy to take the time to communicate with you.
