Agreement of Verbs

Subjects must agree with verbs in a sentence. The agreement can be in number or in person.

For example: John eats rice everyday.

NOT: John eat rice everyday.

The second sentence is wrong because John, the subject is singular. Therefore, a singular verb must be used thus eats.

Yeah, this is the Simple Present´s third Person rule.
