Derek

Steph:  So, I finally got a chance to see Team America. Have you seen that yet?

Derek:  No I haven’t seen that. How did you like it?

Steph:  I really liked it. It was really cool because they used puppets. Um, and they didn’t use real people and that was really super neat.

Derek:  That’s really cool. Cause I like, uh, animation normally. But, yeah, to see puppets almost live is pretty cool.

Steph:  I know. It was really outstanding how they made these puppets look like humans. Sometimes I forgot I was watching puppets. I really thought I was watching real actors.

Derek:  That takes a lot of skill to do, I think.

Steph:  Those people must’ve gone to school for a long time. They’re definitely, um, pushing the, pushing the envelope when it comes to making movies.

Derek:  I think so. Sounds pretty creative.

Steph:  I thought so.

Discussion

There are so many techniques used in making movies these days. You can use live actors, animation, computer animation and so on. Using puppets is interesting because they are three dimensional and can be made to look like humans.
Watching this movie really opened my eyes to how far we have come.
Take Care!
