Tanis

Migs:  Hey Tanis, are you going to any New Year’s parties this year?

Tanis:  Yeah, I’m going to be down in San Diego. So, I guess there’s a pretty big party with a bunch of my friends down there.

Migs:  Do you like to dance and listen to all the great music at those parties or what?

Tanis:  I get so excited when I hear a good song come on. I know… I love New Year’s ‘cause they always play such fun, happy music.

Migs:  What are your favorite New Year’s party songs?

Tanis:  Well, I’m always one of those that, like, sings “Auld Lang Syne” when, uh, 12:00 rolls around even though barely anyone else does.

Migs:  I don’t even know what that is.

Tanis:  C’mon. It’s that famous, uh, Scottish poem.

Migs:  Just sing the, like, the tune.

Tanis:  It’s like, “Should old aquaintances…

Migs:  Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. OK, OK. But, what about songs, like, you know “Celebration,” you know, party songs.

Tanis:  Oh yeah, “Kool and the Gang.” I love those songs. So I don’t know. What about you?

Migs:  I don’t know. I’m trying to think. The only thing I can think of is “1999” by Prince. But, that one is sort of out now, cause it’s like we already passed that date.

Tanis:  I know, we need a good, new millenium party song. We need something new.

Migs:  That’s the truth.
