Discussion
The 2001 VMA’s were fun to watch, but I don’t think they were as good as they’ve been in the past. Jamie Foxx hosted the show, and I usually think he’s funny, but I don’t remember laughing at anything he said during the show.
For me, the best part of the show was Alicia Keys performance of her song, “Fallin’.” She received a standing ovation when she finished singing, and she deserved it. She is, without a doubt, one of the most talented musicians in the world.
Other highlights of the show included Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule performing their song, “I’m Real” and Michael Jackson’s surprise appearance at the end of ‘NSync’s performance of “Pop.” Michael came on stage and danced as only Michael can.
Hopefullly you got the chance to watch the VMA’s. If you didn’t, you should go to MTV.com and learn more about them. If you have any questions about the awards or the show, come to the “Music Mix” message board and let us know!
Take it easy,
Migs
