I have to admit, holiday music isn’t my favorite music. For some reason, the traditional songs I hear this time of year don’t appeal to me. Of course, there are a few songs I like, but for the most part, I would be happy without them.
My favorite holiday song is “White Christmas.” It doesn’t snow very much in Portland, Oregon, so I’m always wishing for a white Christmas.

The lyrics to “White Christmas.”
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
Just like the ones I used to know.
Where the treetops glisten
And children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.
(Written by Irving Berlin)

I just remembered another reason I like “White Christmas.” It’s short! And, the words are easy to remember!
