Didi

Dave:  The American Music Awards were last week. Did you see them?

Didi:  Nope, I did not.

Dave:  Yeah, I didn’t see it either, but I caught the recap on the internet just the other day. Some, some big stars walked away with some nice awards. Will Smith won the Favorite Male Artist award.

Didi:  Wow, that’s great. What did he say in his acceptance speech?

Dave:  Not sure. But, what’s surprising is that Will Smith has maintained popularity as a hip hop musician even though his lyrics and his music is really clean.

Didi:  Mm hm.

Dave:  So, like right now we’ve got artists like Eminem or, um, you know, a lot of gangster rap artists.

Didi:  Yes.

Dave:  But Will Smith, he said he made a promise to his grandmother that he wouldn’t curse in his music.

Didi:  Huh!

Dave:  He’ll keep it clean. And he won Favorite Male Artist.

Didi:  Oh, that’s nice.

Dave:  So, it’s kind of a testament to people who, you know, want integrity in their entertainment.
