Give Mad Props

Lesson

In the United States, saying kind words for something someone does is an acceptable form of flattery. To give someone props, means to say congratulations for someone's accomplishment. It does not mean to give someone an object.

For example, you and your friend play soccer together on a team. You friend scores a goal. It is kind to say, "props" to your friend.

If someone does something extra special, for example, your friend scores two goals, you tell your friend, "mad props." This is a higher form of congratulations than simply saying "Props."

Try it yourself

You say: Props for scoring a goal.

Your Friend says: Thank you.

You say: Mad props for scoring two goals!

Your Friend says: Thank you so much!

Dear sir,I am so grateful to you for giving me something I can't find in my academic books of grammar. Although our endeavor as English users and teachers, I and my freinds still lack conversational skills with English native speakers because conversation can be defined as an oral and usually an informal or freindly interchange of views and sentiments. etc.finally I would say mad props for your note mate.                                        best regards                                         Mohamed
