John: So, Nedra. How was your first day at English, baby!
Nedra: It was fun, um, I got to work right away, and I brought some bagels in and started doing some work with Miguel. It wasn’t boring at all.
John: Hey, where did you get those bagels?
Nedra: I got them, uh, a couple blocks down the street. It’s called Noah’s bagels.
John: Oh, yeah? There’s another one of those over on Hawthorne, over on my side of town.
Nedra: Yeah, it’s my side, too!
John: Oh, really!
Nedra: Yeah! I live over there.
John: So, Tanis was ok?
Nedra: Yeah, she’s a girl so it’s alright.
John: So, that makes everything OK?
Nedra: Yeah.
John: And Miguel is being… being nice and fair and everything?
Nedra: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Everything’s cool.
John: OK Now, you know, it’s pretty late here. You don’t have to stay all night just ‘cause we stay all night. You can go home anytime you like.
Nedra: I don’t want to miss out on any moment!
John: Well, that’s a great attitude.
Nedra: Thanks!

Discussion
We love it when new people join our team. It always adds a spark of energy. Nedra is very nice, and very talented. She’ll help us bring even better stuff to you!
This was a casual conversation, but not quite as casual as a conversation I would have with Miguel and Tanis. This is only because I know them a little better. Soon Nedra and I will have the same kind of relationship!
It’s tough starting a new job. Do you have a story to share about a job you’ve started? Tell us about it at the Life Goes On message board. It’s great practice, and an Ebaby! staff member will help you with your English!
See you next week!
