Steph:  So what’s this I hear about a party last weekend?

John:  Well, I went to my friend’s bachelor party. It was kind of his bachelor party slash thirtieth.

Steph:  Really, wow, that’s a big deal. What did you guys do?

John:  Ah, we started out over at his house, just hanging out you know on his back deck and, uh, then we went out later to some bars around and we actually had a celebrity guest with us.

Steph:  Really? What kind of celebrity guest?

John:  Well, have you, do you know Joey Harrington?

Steph:  Actually, no, who is that?

John:  He’s a guy. He grew up here in Portland and he was a star high school quarterback and then he played at the University of Oregon and now he plays for a team in the NFL.

Steph:  Oh wow! Which team does he play for?

John:  He plays for the Detroit Lions.

Steph:  Really? That’s cool!

John:  He’s kinda the hometown hero. Everybody, ya know, everybody really admires him a lot and so when you go out with him it’s kinda fun to see how everyone reacts.

Steph:  And did he get picked up by any lovely ladies?

John:  Well I actually think he’s taken right now. He has a girlfriend. So he left that up to the rest of us.

Steph:  Aright, well that sounds like fun. I’ve never been to a bachelor party before…
