Even though scientists have been studying dreams for hundreds of years, we still don’t understand why we have them or what they mean. Some dreams are so vivid and intense, it seems like they must carry some sort of hidden message. Other dreams are more ordinary or realistic. Many of us forget our dreams the minute we wake up. But some dreams are so striking, they’re impossible to forget. They stick with us as we go about our day. Hear Devan and Jeff talk about their dreams.

Devan:  So last night, I was dreaming about eating and then I woke up and I was in the kitchen with a muffin in my hand.

Jeff:  What? Is that the first time that’s happened?

Devan:  I don’t know if it is, but it’s the first time I woke up while it was happening. I totally realized that I was sleepwalking. It was a very surreal moment.

Jeff:  Could’ve been worse. You could’ve had a gun in your hand, or a knife.

Devan:  That’s true. But what if I eat in my sleep all the time and then I start gaining a bunch of weight? What if I eat like a whole pie in my sleep or something and don’t even realize it?

Jeff:  I don’t think that’s gonna happen.

Devan:  Do you ever have crazy dreams?

Jeff:  Yeah. I do. All the time.

Devan:  Like nightmares, or are they realistic?

Jeff:  Luckily I don’t have nightmares anymore. I used to have some when I was a kid that…they were very, very scary. But now, I don’t know, I still have pretty intense dreams, usually when I take naps in the middle of the day.

Devan:  And do you remember them vividly when you wake up?

Jeff:  I’d say maybe two-thirds of the time. At least for five minutes. I’ve heard if you write them down you can remember them better. And you can sort of train yourself.

Devan:  I should start doing that.

Jeff:  Yeah. You should check it out, and maybe it’ll solve the muffin problem.

Recently Devan had a dream that she was eating. When she woke up, she was surprised to find herself in the kitchen with some food in her hand! She realized that she had been sleepwalking.

Devan and Jeff talk about their dreams. Jeff used to have very scary nightmares. He doesn’t have nightmares anymore, but he still has intense and vivid dreams.

Jeff says that if you want to remember your dreams, you should write them down as soon as you wake up. Devan wants to start writing down her dreams. She hopes that will help her with her sleepwalking problem.

Do you remember your dreams? Are they usually vivid, scary, or realistic? Do you ever sleepwalk?

This is a very interesting topic. I have not sleepwalked before. I hope I don’t :) I do have very interesting dreams. Sometimes they are so fantastic I feel that I am overflowing with joy. Sometimes they are completely opposite and I purposely don’t want to right them down so I don’t remember them.

usually I tend to forget my dreams as soon as I wake up, but during my day I have some flashbacks of them. It’s curios because I always have a recurring dream that I’m driving a white car even though I’ve had never drive one. I’m starting to believe that dreams might have  hidden messages. :)

We all dream. Usually every night whether we remember it or not. We sleep one-third of our lives with dreaming a big part of that. Do you want to understand what your dreams are saying? Some are playful, some dark, some very emotional, some just plain weird. But I believe dreams have significant meaning in our lives. They either speak of our past, present and sometimes our future. Most of your dreams are about you. Many people look for interpretation, but without true guidance, the truth can be stolen. Seek the one who created the universe and you’ll find there is meaning to much of what you see. Even emotions that you feel are a big part in finding true meaning. Interpretation should be an encouragement, an uplifting from God.

I think its a good habit to have dreams. Good and bad or say nightmares. Coz when something bad happen to you . You start thinking about that  particular situation and got the ideas what would have you done if it really happens. and dreaming a good one makes you feel great . May be it’s just for a little time. But the feeling of that is superb. I don’t think there is something wrong with dreamz except they just interrupt our sleep.

If you have different views share them here.

I often have very strange and vivid dreams. But the most amazing is that I dreamed what would happen to me in the future a few times. Smile

As for me,if i play video game or other games too exciting before bed time,i will got a dream in night, some time i can remmeber vividly after i wake up,but many time i can not remember what i dreamed that in night, the say,if you miss something or someone in day so much ,you will be dreaming something or someing in the night,i think it’s truely, because i have such experience, when i miss some girl so much ,we will meet each other in the night,so sweet, but some time ,i will got some dream which so terrible, even wake up immediately, some one told me ,if you put your hand cover your heart, you will be getting the scary dream,i have tried before ,it’s truely, and that ,if you hands or legs in stress, you will be getting scary dream also.
